Benchmark test gpu gtrr3/18/2023 ![]() ![]() I hit 145 to 155fps in Destiny 2 with maxed out graphics settings, compared to 140 to 150fps on the 3070. The 3070 Ti cemented itself as an excellent 1440p GPU during my testing, but again, it was only slightly better than the 3070. NVIDIA claims the 3070 Ti should deliver up to 50 percent faster speeds than the 2070 Super.Īll benchmarks run in 1440p at the highest graphical settings on a PC powered by a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB of RAM. Unfortunately, I didn't have a RTX 2070 Super to compare on my current rig - which is powered by a Ryzen 5800X and 32GB of DDR4 RAM - but it scored 4,474 in TimeSpy Extreme with my last system. ![]() That's nice to see, but it's not enough to make 3070 owners regret their purchase. Similarly, I saw close to a 10 percent improvement in the Port Royal raytracing benchmark. The benchmarks just proved my hunch: The 3070 Ti hit 6,842 points in 3DMark's TimeSpy Extreme test, compared to 6,226 on the previous card. Given the minimal spec bump over the 3070, I didn't expect a huge performance jump from the Ti model. Although DXR is technically compatible with all DX12-class GPUs, the graphics card must have drivers that enable DXR.You can disable notifications at any time in your settings menu. ![]() It is designed to test real-time ray tracing performance of graphics cards that support Microsoft DirectX Raytracing, or DXR. Port Royal was released earlier this year as an update to UL’s popular 3DMark suite. GT2 emphasizes particles and GPU simulations.ģDMark's DX11-based Fire Strike Ultra benchmark has all of the cards finishing in the same order as Time Spy as well, though the GeForce GTX 2060 Super has a slightly larger lead over the RTX 3060. GT 1 focuses on geometry and illumination, with over 100 shadow casting spot lights, 140 non-shadow casting point lights, and 3.9 million vertices calculated for tessellation per frame. Ultra mode is explicitly designed for high-end and CrossFire / SLI systems and cranks up the quality even further. The more taxing Extreme mode targets 1.5GB of frame buffer memory and increases detail levels across the board. GPU target frame buffer utilization for normal mode is 1GB and the benchmark uses tessellation, ambient occlusion, volume illumination, and a medium-quality depth of field filter. The RTX 3060, however, continues to thrash the previous-gen GeForce RTX 1660 Ti and older GeForce GTX 1060.ģDMark Fire Strike has multiple benchmark modes: Normal mode runs at 1920x1080, Extreme mode targets 2560x1440, and Ultra mode runs at a 4K resolution. In the DX12-based 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, the new GeForce RTX 3060 just - ever so slightly - misses the mark set by the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. The new GeForce RTX 3060 fall in just behind the GeForce RTX 2060 Super in Unigine Superposition's 1080P Extreme, but it destroys the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and the most popular GPU currently in use by gamers (according to Steam), the GeForce GTX 1060. We ran Superposition in two modes using the DirectX code path – 1080p Extreme and VR Future - to compare the performance of all of the graphics cards featured here. Unigine Superposition uses the developer’s unique SSRTGI (Screen-Space Ray-Traced Global Illumination) dynamic lighting technology, along with high quality textures and models, to produce some stunning visuals. ![]() There is an extreme hardware stability test built-in as well. It offers an array of benchmark modes, targeting gaming workloads as well as VR, with both DirectX and OpenGL code paths. Superposition is the latest benchmark from Unigine, powered by the UNIGINE 2 Engine. 3DMark (Time Spy, Fire Strike, Port Royal, DXR) ![]()
